Macclesfield 2025–26 season now on sale

The Northern Chamber Orchestra is delighted to announce that tickets for our 2025–26 season in Macclesfield are now on sale.

This will be the first fully curated season from our brilliant new Artistic Directors, Zoe Beyers and Sarah Brandwood-Spencer. Together, they’ve created a richly varied programme —placing our audience at the heart of it.

What to expect this season
This season promises a programme of beautiful and varied masterworks. It takes you on a journey from the Baroque genius of J.S. Bach to the contemporary voices of Caroline Shaw and Anna Clyne.
We are thrilled to welcome families to a special Family Concert featuring Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf and excerpts from Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals. And no season would be complete without our much-loved Christmas Concerts at Tatton Park!

Extraordinary soloists

Joining us this season are world class soloists including clarinettist Julian Bliss, pianist Steven Osborne, cellist Jonathan Aasgaard and French horn/conductor polymath Alec Frank-Gemmill.
We are also excited to welcome back Ellie Slorach, along with the Kantos Soloists and Manchester Chamber Choir, for a performance of Fauré’s beloved Requiem.

Venue and ticket information
All concerts will be held at The King’s School in Macclesfield, except for the January and March performances, which will be at St Michael’s Church in Macclesfield, and the Christmas Concerts at Tatton Park in Knutsford.
Tickets are £29, with discounts available for under 30s and free entry for students and under 18s (excluding Christmas Concerts and the Clarinet concert on 15 Feb).
