Macclesfield: NCO Soloists

Schubert Quartettsatz in C minor | Baermann – Adagio for clarinet and strings | Beethoven – Septet

Tickets: £22 stalls, £20 gallery, £15 online

In celebration of the 250th anniversary year of Beethoven’s birth, our traditional annual NCO Soloists concert gives our principal players the chance to enjoy some of the limelight and features one of his most celebrated chamber works.  The Septet, scored for clarinet, horn, bassoon, violin, viola, cello and double bass, is one of Beethoven’s most successful and popular works – an uplifting piece of music that is rewarding and enjoyable for the musicians and audience alike. The concert also includes Baermann’s Adagio for clarinet and strings, the second movement of his Septet op 23, which is often performed as a stand alone piece, and Schubert’s Quartettsatz, the opening movement of a string quartet that he never finished but nonetheless feels complete and whole.

Due to social distancing guidelines, this concert is being sold as unreserved seating; we will allocate you a seat after your purchase that will allow for enough space around you. If you have specific access needs, please forward your confirmation email to siobhan@ncorch.co.uk with the access information after purchase.

There is also the option to purchase a ‘ticket’ for the online stream – this will be available to watch from the following day for a week and the link will be sent directly to you.

If another lockdown is put in place, tickets will be refunded.

If you would like to purchase a season ticket for all three 2020 concerts at a discounted price (3 October, 31 October, 5 December), please email info@ncorch.co.uk to arrange. You can purchase a season ticket to attend in person or online.
