The NCO can deliver composition-led workshops, specially developed for Secondary Schools.
The String Quartet Composition Project
GCSE students compose music for String Quartet and have their work performed and recorded, live.
Creative Composition Projects based around a Set Work
GCSE students use composition techniques from Set Works on the Syllabus; their creative composition is then performed.
Bridging the Gap
Years 6 and 7 – Creative Band Sessions.
These engaging sessions keep secondary age children excited about creating music.
NCO can develop sessions based on specific themes, such as devising an exciting, instrumental version of a ‘pop’ classic. After working on the composition, students get to rehearse with, then share the stage with NCO players as part of this inspiring learning and performance partnership.
